Along with the NYX Round Lipsticks, these are my favorite drugstore lipsticks of all time.
The formula for all is basically the same: a little dry, but very long lasting. Lip balm underneath is a good way to avoid drying out your lips, and it also helps with the application process, otherwise they drag a little. They’re all mattes, and extremely pigmented; definitely worth the money.
Some people hate the packaging, and I will admit, it’s very flimsy and sort of clunky. I’m not a packaging snob, so I really don’t care anyway, but the color payoff and the formula makes up for it.
914C (Mocha-licious)- A deep chocolate brown. This might look weird or too severe on lighter skin tones, but it’s a good color for darker skin. The swatch makes it look less brown than it actually comes out on the lips. But trust me when I say It’s very dark.
912C (In The Flesh)- Standard pinky brown; reminds me of NYX’s B52. It’s a good basic color to own.
915B (Spiked with Rum)- Basically a much darker version of 912C. It’s a good alternative if red is too bold for you.
908C (Sugar Plum Fairy)- Dark berry; amazing color. I bought this after I found out it’s a dupe for MAC Rebel. It’s very bold and very dramatic, I don’t think I could wear it as a daytime color (although you’re free to try.)
If you don’t mind less than stellar packaging, and a formula that requires a bit of work, these lipsticks are a great addition to your collection. They can be found wherever Wet N Wild is sold, although different stores have a different selection (Sugar Plum Fairy is the one I had the hardest time locating.) They can also be purchased online.
